Out of Balance? Find Your Center In Christ

Can you remember the last time you felt truly focused or balanced in your life?  Right. Me either. The truth is that it’s hard to stay focused on much of anything when our days are so full of distractions that are constantly competing for our hearts. And I have some hard news for us: Those distractions aren’t going to go anywhere. They just aren’t. And it’s not fair.

But there is some good news, too. Increased focus and feeling balanced are merely BYPRODUCTS of a much less complicated task — centering our lives in Christ. And the minute we decide to make that our main goal, even if we baby step our way into it, things start to feel more connected, more focused, more balanced. That’s what we’ve been promised by a loving Heavenly Father and we can believe it!

In John 15:5, the Lord says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Our TOFW team has been pondering this verse and we love where it has led each of us. Let’s break it down just a bit: The vine is the part of the tree that is grounded — grounded to the source of growth, and strength. It is the part that keeps the tree centered, even in the midst of its pressures, burdens and breaks. And He has invited us, the branches, to be centered on Him, the vine. It’s pretty incredible.

This year, we’re going to accept that scriptural invitation to center ourselves in Christ and we’ll be working hard to help you do the same. Every TOFW presenter has spent hours and days and weeks pondering, praying, and preparing for you to join us at the events. They have been seeking revelation and digging into their own experiences to craft messages that will inspire us and help us discover what a centered-in-Christ life looks like. What OUR life looks like!

And because centering our lives in Christ also means abiding in Him, we’ll be focusing our efforts across all of TOFW all year. Whether you need a post-event reminder or are joining in from across the ocean, the things we share at TOFW.com, Facebook, Instagram will bring us closer to our goal of knowing and depending on Him.

Throughout my years with TOFW, I have learned that every woman has a unique and powerful story. I wish you and I had the time and space to sit together and chat about what we hope and believe centering our lives in Christ would add to our story. Though that isn’t possible, I’m glad to know that there is One who knows exactly what you carry in your heart. And where seeking His grace will lead you.

With Him we truly can do everything.
